Caboodle Issue 7
|Publisher Names||by Caboodle|
Issue 7 -
This is the summer issue, and although we don't have themes it is always a celebration of colour, indie businesses and people with a passion. This issue features interviews with several makers including Katie Jones Knitwear, Merrimaking and Polymorphics; we talk to feminist punk band Dream Nails about their plans to start a revolution; share some vegan picnic and summer cocktail recipes; craft up a storm with our huge craft tutorial section; get inspired by designer maker brands in our Bohemian Interiors and dreamy fashion editorials and lots more! The magazine is printed on gorgeous matt heavyweight paper and is meant to be enjoyed and re-read over and again.
Hi I’m Kayti and I self publish Caboodle twice a year. I've always been a lover of magazines and a bit of a paper nerd since I was little so it has always been a dream to work on my own publication. My background is in fashion photography and shooting for magazines like Super Super really opened my eyes that you could really go for it and create something unique and true to you.
I taught myself InDesign and thought lets have a go, and with a lot of enthusiasm despite no experience in design or publishing, Caboodle became a reality! It blew my mind that people enjoyed the first issue and it's just grown from there. I am now proud to be able to pay all contributors a small amount and use it as a platform to showcase everyones work - it's all about collaboration!
The stories and themes I share in the magazine are always close to my heart and I'm so proud of everyone involved for being a part of creating something that can bring joy to those who read it. And for us paper nerds... it smells really good too!
