Delayed Gratification Issue 30

The world's first Slow Journalism magazine, Delayed Gratification offers an alternative to today's ultra-fast news cycle. A beautiful quarterly print publication, DG revisits big news stories after the dust has settled to offer much-needed context, depth, follow-up and analysis. Each issue contains investigative reporting, challenging photo features and beautiful infographics which tell the stories others may have missed – or mistold. We are proud to be ‘Last to Breaking News’.

Issue 30

Looking back at January to March 2018 including the Salisbury chemical attack, the aftermath of the Parkland school shooting and how Elon Musk put a Tesla into space.

This "slow news" quarterly takes the time needed to digest and contextualise world events, providing stories and perspectives that, at the time, you might have missed in the media's barrage of competing information and opinion. I enjoyed the latest issue's cheeky "Celebrity Tree Count", an analysis of trees used up in covering the quarter's top celebrity news stories, but there's also measured coverage of the destruction in Homs and Aleppo and the aftermath of the Parkland School shooting. Always in a beautifully laid out and stimulating format, it's an invaluable and entertaining read.
